How Nyeri Residents Reacted When Gachagua’s Man Kahiga Told Ruto That They Will Not Leave His Govt

Nyeri county boss Mutahi Kahiga Mwalimu has left a number of Kenyans talking after he warmly received President William Ruto in Kieni, Nyeri county on Tuesday.
Kahiga who is former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s trusted ally in one of the leaders who received Dr Ruto and his team in Nyeri county as the President kicked off his development tour of Mt Kenya region.
Speaking during a rally in Kieni, Mwalimu Kahiga said that as region, the took part in forming the Kenya Kwanza administration and they are not ready to let it go as some have always thought.
He said that as a region, they will stay inside the Kenya Kwanza as they get their shares which they fought for in 2022 ahead of the elections. His statements were warmly received by residents who could be heard chanting and cheering in agreement.
“We are happy with you because we have seen a number of developments from your administration. We shall not leave this government, we will ensure we get our rightful share.” He said amid cheers from Kieni residents.
