Lang’ata Member of Parliament (MP) Phelix Odiwuor, better known as Jalang’o, has become the subject of a viral online conversation after sharing an image that revealed the effects of the scorching Nairobi sun.

The lawmaker posted a photo showing his head, which had visibly peeled from a sunburn. Captioning the photo humorously, the MP expressed his frustration with his skin’s reaction to the sun, saying:

“This life. These days, I peel off like a snake with just a small effect of the sun. Previously, I would burn in the sun. A week in the sun,” reflecting on how much his skin had changed over time.

The MP had been accompanying President William Ruto during a series of development tours across Nairobi.

The photo quickly caught the attention of netizens, sparking a range of reactions, from light-hearted humour to more serious discussions about skin health and sun exposure.
