Raila Odinga on Saturday, March 15, during the burial service of the late Pilot James Gitahi, revealed that Senator Betty Montet was introduced to his campaign team by Dr. SK Macharia.

“During the campaign, Dr. SK Macharia brought Betty to my team. She did excellent work, which is why we appointed her as Senator,” Raila said.
He praised Montet’s dedication, emphasizing that her appointment was based on merit and commitment to their political cause.
He also reaffirmed his close alliance with SK Macharia in political matters.
Meanwhile, Royal Media Services (RMS) founder Dr. SK Macharia alleged that the 2007 general elections were marred with irregularities, disputing the process that led to former President Mwai Kibaki’s victory.
Speaking during the burial of veteran pilot James Nguyo Gitahi in Machakos, Macharia revealed that he and Gitahi had agreed that one of them would eventually disclose the truth about the election.
Macharia alleged that all returning officers in the Mount Kenya region were detained and forced to alter the results in Kibaki’s favor.
“Kibaki won the 2007 election, but we had full evidence that Raila was the true winner,”* Macharia stated.
Additionally, he credited Betty Montet for ensuring that Gitahi was “well-fed”* throughout the 2007 elections.
He also disclosed his long-standing support for Raila Odinga, revealing that he had backed late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga in the 1992 elections, despite pressure to support fellow tribesman Matiba.
