Trans Nzoia – A section of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has expressed their dissatisfaction with the party’s recent decision.

On Thursday, March 13, supporters of Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi protested ODM’s list of parliamentary leadership.
The visibly agitated youths paralysed businesses in Kitale Town, Trans Nzoia County, as they protested ODM’s decision to deny Amisi the chairmanship of the parliamentary accounts committee.
During the re-organisation of the parliamentary committees, Amisi was elected the vice-chairperson of the National Assembly Public Investments on Social Services Administration and Agriculture (PIC-SSAA) committee.

The protesting youths said Amisi has been at the forefront of fighting and strengthening the party’s presence in Trans Nzoia County.
Despite standing with the party, the angry youths said Amisi’s efforts have been ignored by the Orange Party.
Residents have now issued a bold declaration; ‘No Caleb Amisi, No ODM in Trans Nzoia.”
They threatened to quit the party if ODM failed to reinstate Amisi’s position.
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, the Saboti MP said his supporters took to the street even without any mobilisation.
“Wenyewe tu not even organised. Nimestuka ata mimi by the love of the youth,” Amisi said
