The National Police Service has confirmed the incident and assured the public that investigations are underway.

The victim, a foreign national, has drawn significant attention to the case, with authorities urging anyone with useful information to come forward via their toll-free numbers.

“We encourage anyone with information that may assist with the investigation to report to the nearest police station or through our toll free numbers: 999,” they stated.

This incident adds to the growing number of pedestrian accidents in Nairobi, raising concerns about road safety enforcement.

While authorities frequently urge road users to “exercise extreme caution,” the effectiveness of such advisories remains in question.

Many road users argue that without stricter regulations, improved pedestrian crossings, and enhanced traffic discipline, accidents like these will continue to happen.

Ngong Road, known for its heavy traffic, has witnessed multiple accidents over the years. Despite ongoing efforts to improve

infrastructure, pedestrian safety remains a pressing issue. The call for better road safety measures has never been more urgent, with Kenyans hoping that this tragedy sparks action rather than just another round of investigations that yield no change.

As the NPS continues its probe, the public watches closely, hoping for swift justice and, more importantly, long-term solutions to prevent future tragedies.

Meanwhile, road users are once again reminded to remain vigilant, as caution seems to be the only safety measure consistently in place.
