Muturi revealed that he had formally informed President William Ruto that he would not be purposing to attend any meeting of the Cabinet until the matters of abductions and extrajudicial killings are deliberated on in the country’s top decision-making organ.

The CS has been a no-show in all the Cabinet meetings the president has chaired in 2025.

“Attending Cabinet meetings is mandatory unless excused by the President. I have formally written and requested to be excused from attending these meetings until or unless the issue of abductions and extrajudicial killings is officially tabled before Cabinet through a Cabinet memorandum,” Muturi said.
