Drama in Parliament as MP Njeri Maina Clashes With Ichung’wah and Junet Over This (VIDEO)

On 12th March 2025 During today’s National Assembly proceedings, a heated debate broke out over the recent leadership changes in the Budget and Appropriations Committee.

Ndindi Nyoro, who previously held the position, was replaced by a top ODM MP. However, this move did not sit well with some leaders, sparking strong reactions in Parliament.

Nyeri Woman Representative Njeri Maina fiercely defended Ndindi Nyoro, calling out Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah and ODM’s Junet Mohamed for their criticism.

“Leave Ndindi Nyoro alone, he has brains!” she boldly declared, emphasizing that Nyoro’s leadership and expertise should not be undermined.

Many MPs had mixed reactions to Nyoro’s removal. Some supported the change, arguing it was necessary for inclusivity, while others felt it was politically motivated.

One MP, who backed the new chair, said, “We need new leadership to ensure fairness in budget allocation.” However, another legislator countered, “Ndindi Nyoro worked hard, and removing him like this is unfair.”

The debate became more intense when Junet Mohamed took the floor.

He defended the decision, saying, “This is democracy. Leadership positions are not permanent.” Ichung’wah also weighed in, adding, “We must make decisions that benefit the country, not individuals.”

Despite this, Njeri Maina stood her ground, insisting that Nyoro’s removal was a political move. “We all know what is happening here. Don’t pretend!” she said.

The session ended without a clear resolution, but one thing was certain—Ndindi Nyoro’s removal had caused a serious political storm.
