“Vijana Hawakukufa Ndio Raila Apate Kazi” Natembeya Breaks Silence After Raila-Ruto Deal

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has expressed strong reservations about the recent political pact between President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga, questioning whether it will bring meaningful change to ordinary Kenyans.

Speaking during a public event, Natembeya criticized Raila for repeatedly forming alliances with successive governments, arguing that such moves undermine the democratic process and fail to address the struggles of common citizens.

“We cannot keep voting only for leaders to later form coalitions. Moi won and joined hands with Raila, Kibaki won and did the same, Uhuru followed suit, and now Ruto has also united with Raila. But has anything changed?” Natembeya posed.

The governor expressed frustration over the lack of tangible improvements for Kenyans, especially the youth who continue to face high unemployment rates despite past political realignments. He pointed out that many young people have sacrificed their lives in the hope of a better Kenya, yet their struggles remain unaddressed.

His remarks come at a time when the country is witnessing a shift in political alliances, with discussions of possible cooperation between Ruto and Raila gaining momentum. While some leaders have welcomed the move as a step toward unity, critics like Natembeya argue that such coalitions have historically benefited politicians more than the electorate.

As Kenya’s political landscape continues to evolve, it remains to be seen whether this latest agreement will bring about any significant changes or if, as Natembeya suggests, it will be yet another elite-driven arrangement with little impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.
