Where will Chebukati be buried?

During his memorial mass at Citam Church in Karen Nairobi, his wife revealed that the government had assured her that her husband would be accorded a state funeral.

Mary was troubled since she was asked to cater for 2,000 guests whom she said were the politician’s guests.

She said:

“…I want to proceed i was appreciating the financial support; it has been overwhelming. We were told we shall have a state funeral but that will happen at home, but again, for the state funeral, we still have to get support to meet certain expenses. because, as you are aware if I am to host guests in the village, they will be more of the politician’s guests than my own guests. But I have been told to host 2,000 people.”

Chebukati’s widow revealed that her husband would be taken to his father’s house on Thursday, February 15.

She revealed that he had insisted that his son’s body be taken first to his home before his final resting place.

“At this juncture pray for them. My father is sick, my father-in-law is sick in hospital. When i lost my parents those became my immediate parents. When my father-in-law came after the news, before he knew he had lost his son he was coming to Nairobi he had an accident, he injured his leg and that is what is giving him trouble. Apparently, some metal remained in his leg and its becoming sceptic.

The remains of this gentleman will be taken home to his parents who have insisted he must go there and finally to his home in Sabatia Kitale in his final resting place.”
