Nairobi, Meru among areas to face power cuts Thursday

Kenya Power has announced areas in 11 counties scheduled for power interruption on Thursday.

The power interruption will occur at diverse times between 8 am and 5 pm in the different counties.

Counties to be affected are Nairobi, Makueni, Nyandarua, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Meru, Laikipia, Kiambu, Kitui, Mombasa and Kwale.

Nairobi

Parts of Nairobi will experience power cuts from 9am to 5pm.

The areas include Kiriri University, Mutuya Primary, Mwihoko Secondary, Mwithiritia, K-Lite, and adjacent customers.

Other areas include Scion Hospital, V Club, Joharis, Mukuru Health Centre, Part of Villafranca East, Kings Millenium, St Bhakita, Takbir Distributers, Mukuru Educational Centre, Penda Medical Centre Embakasi, Bamba 70, Unique East, Seyani Brothers, Kenya Builders, Honey Suckle, King of Judah Ministries, Swaminarayan School and adjacent customers.

At the same time, other parts of  Nairobi to face power cuts are Raphta Road, St. Michael Road, Mahiga Mairu Road, East Church Road, Church Road, Mimosa Court, Mangu Gardens, Fox Close, Terraces Close, Pili Close, Chandarana Food Plus, Carrefour, and adjacent customers.

Makueni

Areas in Makueni will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.

The areas are Emali Town, Mulala, Kithumani, Masokani, Kikumini, Masumba, Welfare, Matiliku, Kilili, Kalamba, Katulye, Upendo, Nziu and adjacent customers.

Nyandarua

Parts of Nyandarua to face power cuts from 9am to 5pm are Miharati including Machinery, Kahiga, Bondeni, Gitwe, Mahinga, Gatiriga, Mumui, Matopeni, Mawingu, Ndiara, Manunga, Mubau and adjacent customers.

Uasin Gishu

Areas in Uasin Gishu to face power cuts from 9am to 5pm include Naiberi Laini Moja, Kamiti, Losirwa, Lotonyok, and adjacent customers.

Nandi

Parts of Nandi will experience power interruption from 9.30 am to 5pm.

They are Taunet Sec, Soy Sitet and adjacent customers.

Laikipia

Areas in Laikipia will face power interruptions from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

They include Timau Market, Kilimbogo, Siraji, Oldonyo, Batian, Ngarendare, and adjacent customers.

Meru

Parts of Meru will face power cuts from 8am to 5pm.

The areas include Nkoune, Mwiriene Primary, Meru Teachers College, Mwithumwilu Secondary School, Kaaga Girls High School, Mpakone Village, Kaaga, Safaricom Kaaga, LR Petrol Station, Gatimene Gardens, Runogone, KEMU University, Tuliza FM, Gakurine Chungu, Kwiriro Market, Runongone Airtel, Kaithe Market, Kithoka, Freds Academy, Thiiri Cultural Centre, Bishop Lawi Imathiu Primary and Secondary, Kithoka Ripples, and adjacent customers.

Kiambu

Parts of Kiambu will face power interruptions from 9am to 5pm.

The areas are Laureate School, Tsavo Fourways, St Mary’s Runda, Kwaheri Road, Chief Gatabaki Centre, and adjacent customers.

Kitui

Areas in Kitui will have power disruptions from 9am to 5pm.

The areas are Kyamatu, Zewani, Kangweni, Thingathi, Kanzoumo, Yongwe, Kamandio, Enyu, Zombe, and Mwitiga.

Mombasa

Parts of Mombasa to face power cuts from 9am to 5pm are KPA Red Brick, Former Gapco, Makande Primary, KPA Club, ACK ST Lukes Church and Jua Kali.

Kwale

Areas in Kwale will face power interruptions from 9am to 3pm.

The areas include Vingujini, Sawasawa Beach, Msambweni Referral Hospital, Msambweni Beach House, and KMTC Msambweni.
