DCI Finally Reveals Who Hired and Paid for the Taxi That Took Scott to His Death

Detectives probing the murder of British national Campbell Scott have achieved a significant breakthrough by identifying the individual responsible for hiring and paying for the taxi that transported him prior to his untimely demise.

Authorities now suspect that this individual possesses vital information regarding Scott’s last moments.

Investigators traced a mobile phone associated with the suspect to Voi, Taita Taveta County, which is over 330 kilometers from Pipeline, Nairobi, where Scott and the unidentified man were last seen together.

It remains uncertain whether the suspect is still in Voi or has relocated after deactivating his phone.

CCTV footage from February 17 documented Scott departing from Havana Bar & Restaurant in Westlands with the unidentified man, who summoned a taxi using his mobile device.

The taxi driver, who is currently in custody, later confirmed that he dropped them off in Pipeline, Embakasi.

Scott’s body was discovered on February 24 in Makongo Forest, Makueni County, concealed in a gunny bag alongside pineapples, seemingly intended to mislead authorities during transport.

A waiter from the club who interacted with Scott on the night of his disappearance has also been apprehended to aid in the investigation.

Statements have been collected from staff at both Havana Bar and JW Marriott, where Scott was residing.

A postmortem examination conducted by Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor indicated that Scott suffered head and soft tissue injuries, although they were not severe enough to be the cause of death.

This finding has prompted detectives to investigate the possibility of poisoning, with samples sent for toxicological analysis.

Scott, a senior director at the American data analytics firm FICO, had arrived in Nairobi on February 16 for a business engagement.

His remains have been transferred to a funeral home in preparation for repatriation to the United Kingdom.

As investigators narrow in on key suspects, the pursuit of justice continues.
