Embakasi East Member of Parliament appears to have disagreed with Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga.

This is as he announced his support for Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2027 presidential bid.
Speaking on Wednesday, February 26, Babu Owino said Kalonzo Musyoka had supported Raila Odinga in the 2013, 2017, and 2022 General Elections and should not be betrayed.
He compared Kalonzo’s resilience to that of Kenya’s first president, Jomo Kenyatta, noting that Kenyatta did not expect to lead but eventually did. He added that the same applied to Daniel Moi and Uhuru Kenyatta, emphasising that Kalonzo also has the potential to become president.
“Personally, I know your heart. We went with you to a war that you were not going to get anything. You were not given any position. You stuck with Azimio in 2013, 2017 and 2022. Huyu ni mwanaume,wenye tunaeza betray kweli? Lazima tuwe na utu,” Babu asserted.
The MP said that if President William Ruto genuinely values Raila Odinga, he should allow Raila to be president in 2027 otherwise, he wants no association with him.
He called on his constituents to back Kalonzo, emphasizing that his leadership would bring the necessary change if elected president.

“I only say things as it is. If it makes you happy it is okay and if it doesn’t it is still okay after all I am the best Member of Parliament in this country,” he stated.
