Ayub Abdikadir, a journalist for Citizen TV, has joined JKLIVE officially, adding a new dimension to the well-liked conversation show.
Under the new structure, Abdikadir will oversee the news desk, and Jeff Koinange will continue to handle the discussion show part.
Because of his insightful interviews and unafraid questions of prominent people, Abdikadir has solidified his standing as a leading journalist.
When Citizen TV journalist Ayub Abdikadir made his formal JKLIVE debut, the format of the well-liked conversation show underwent a dramatic change.Â
Under the new arrangement, Abdikadir will oversee the news desk, while veteran broadcaster Jeff Koinange will continue to manage the discussion show portion. Koinange expressed his excitement for the new strategy during the live on-air announcement of the move.
He added that Ayub Abdikadir was having a great debut and that he appreciated the new format with him. “I think it’s a great format. It’s excellent. “I hope you guys are enjoying it, and it’s working,” he declared.Â
Abdikadir replied that he was thrilled about the change and assured the audience that he was comfortable in his new position. Chemistry was tested on Sunday Live.
Abdikadir and Koinange co-anchored the Sunday Live show on February 16th, which served as the first opportunity to evaluate their on-air chemistry.
He replaced Olive Burrows, an anchor for Citizen TV, who was in Addis Ababa reporting on the African Union elections.
It is hoped that both the news outlet and the journalist will benefit from the new development. Day Break, the main morning show on Citizen TV, is currently hosted by Abdikadir and airs Monday through Friday from 6 to 10 a.m.Â
