A family in Nairobi is desperately searching for their 24-year-old daughter, Consolata Achieng Otieno, who went missing on the morning of February 22.
According to her sister Milly K’Otieno, Consolata left Kayole Bee Centre for Kariobangi but never arrived at her destination.
Along the way, her phone was allegedly snatched, and soon after, the person in possession of the device contacted her family, demanding KSh 5,000.

Milly disclosed that the unidentified individual threatened to harm and kill her if the ransom was not sent.
“An hour later, the phone was switched off, and we have not heard from her or seen her since,” the distressed sister said.
They contacted the person she was supposed to meet in Kariobangi, but she never arrived there either.
Her exact attire at the time of her disappearance remains unclear, as she had been staying with an agent who arranges house help jobs.
The family is now appealing to the public for any information regarding Consolata’s whereabouts.
Anyone who may have seen her or has useful information is urged to call 0700112811.
Police have been alerted about the incident, and investigations are underway.
