Pokot South MP David Pkosing had a rough time on Tuesday after he was stopped by a no-nonsense pastor in his constituency as he as trying to enter the church grounds in style.
The MP decided to arrive at church in style but the pastor could take none of that. In a video shared online, the MP could be seen dancing his way into the church function accompanied by a uniformed group as the pastor was preaching.
Upon seeing the ‘indisciplined’ MP dancing his way in while he was preaching, the pastor abruptly stopped what he was doing and lectured the MP. The pastor wondered why the MP was disturbing his service with his grand entry. He could be heard lashing out at the MP on why he was not respecting God and the service.
The MP was forced to eat a humble pie and immediately removed his hat as he asked for forgiveness from the man of the clothe who was furious and lecturing him.
“Wakati mheshimiwa anapokuja, ajue mungu yupo an eye sio said ya mungu. Leaders should learn to come to the meeting very early. Hatutaki viongozi wenye wanakuja nyuma an kuinterfere kanisa, kwani nyinyi ni said ya mungu? hiyo ni makosa. Kama unajua wewe ni mheshimiwa kuja mapema. Hapana interfere an service ya mungu,” warned the pastor as the MP curled his tail.
The Ruto allied MP was elected on the Kenya Union Party but later entered Kenyans Kwanza through a post elections coalition.
This comes at a time when most of President William Ruto’s allies are facing a rough time with the church. This was after the church leaders (bishops) came out to stand with Kenyans and pointed ingers at Ruto’s government over its short comings and high cost of living in the country.
