Chege received a notably warm reception as she made two well-attended stopovers in Kandara Constituency. Alongside her engagement efforts, she distributed food supplies to residents, reinforcing her commitment to addressing local needs.

Speaking to the gathered crowd, the lawmaker emphasized the prevailing calm among Mt. Kenya locals, encouraging the region to focus on unity and stability. “I am on the ground, and people are calm. I want to ask the Mt. Kenya people to remain calm,” Chege stated, underscoring the importance of moving forward constructively.

The nominated MP urged fellow leaders representing Mt. Kenya in Parliament and the Senate to adopt a humble approach as the region adapts to the evolving political landscape. Addressing the audience, Chege noted the unique position of Mt. “We had two sons of the mountain; one served for two years, and another one is hopefully going to serve in the next three years,” she added, highlighting on the Impeached deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and the deputy president elect Kithure Kindiki.
