Nelson Havi Narrowly Escapes Death After His-to-be Clients and their Advocates Found Dead

Nelson Havi, a prominent lawyer, found himself entangled in a high-stakes fraud case involving the sale of Sirona Hotel

The case began when some young men sold the hotel using a fake title, pocketing a staggering Ksh 200 million.

However, their fortunes took a drastic turn when the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) froze their accounts, leaving them with only Ksh 25 million.

Seeking legal representation, the suspects approached Nelson Havi.

Havi, known for his integrity, demanded a deposit of Ksh 5 million before he would consider taking on the case.

Seeking advice, Havi turned to his friend Mugambi Imanyara, who ominously warned him, “Those men are the walking dead.

Do not take their money.”

A week later, Havi’s worst fears seemed to materialize. He spotted a bullet-ridden Mercedes Benz 200C near his office at Parklands Station.

Curious, he inquired with the Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD), who revealed that the suspects and their new lawyer had been killed under mysterious circumstances.

“Wale Mawakili wa Sirona na client wao waliumwa wote. Hakuna kesi tena

(The lawyer and their clients were all killed. There is no case left.)

Havi’s decision to heed Imanyara’s advice likely saved his life

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can accompany high-profile legal cases in Kenya. It also underscores the importance of integrity and caution in the legal profession.
