Noting that it will improve service delivery, the Kenyan Judicial Service Commission on Monday urged President William Ruto to make building a new Supreme Court facility a top priority for his government.
Speaking in Nairobi as part of the festivities commemorating the 12th anniversary of the Supreme Court of Kenya’s founding, Registrar of the Judiciary Winrida Mokaya urged President Ruto to give the development plans first priority.
According to Nelson Havi, what’s the point of building a courthouse for seven judges who never really sit down, yet every day, C J Martha Koome is growing more and more unfixable.
Some Kenyans have reacted and said, ” the USA Supreme Court building is 90 years old & no one is asking for a new one. United Kingdom’s Barmote Court in Derbyshire is 900 years old & no one was asking for a new one. Why do 7 judges need a new building for, if not corruption as happened with the Milimani Courts?
