Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has finally updated his bio on his social media platforms, hours after Kithure Kindiki was sworn-in as the new Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.
Scrolling through his X account today, you will realize that he has removed the title of the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.

Previously it read:
“Husband. Father. Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya”.
However in the new update, it reads:
“Husband. Father. Kenyan”.
Previously, the X account of Rigathi Gachagua also included the prestigious title of the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H), but in the new update he edited and removed that part as shown below.
Kithure Kindiki, who previously served as the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, was sworn-in at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
At the historic occasion that was attended by President William Ruto as well as other political leaders, he recited two oaths publicly – the oath of allegiance and the oath of due execution of the office.
Rigathi Gachagua had actually served as Deputy President for slightly over two years before he was impeached by the National Assembly and the Senate some few weeks ago.
The Senate voted and upheld five out of the eleven charges that had been levelled against him, in the impeachment motion that was tabled by Kibwezi West lawmaker Mwengi Mutuse.
