Detectives have launched investigations into the murder of Seth Njeri, the daughter of Nominated Kirinyaga MCA Lucy Njeri. Seth was found murdered at a rented house in Biafra Estate, Thika on October 14, 2024.
Reports indicate that her body was discovered by her friend Favour Mwende. The grieving MCA has called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Mohamed Amin to bring to book suspects involved in the murder of her daughter.
She alleged that for more than a week now since the incident happened, investigators at the Thika sub-county Criminal Investigation offices are yet to make progress on the matter. Njeri described her deceased daughter as joyful, outgoing and had a bright future ahead of her.
Sadly, she was the only child to the Nominated MCA. Thika sub county police commander Lawrence Muchangi confirmed the tragic incident and assured the family that the case was being taken seriously and investigations are underway.
”DCI officers have taken up the matter with the seriousness it deserves, and investigations are underway to unravel the murder,” the police boss said.
One suspect has been arrested as investigations continue.
