What did Khalwale say about Rigathi Gachagua?

Speaking on Saturday, October 19, in Malimili village, in Kakamega county, Khalwale revealed that the Senators were prepared to forgive Gachagua if he had given his testimony.

However, this did not happen as Gachagua fell ill and was rushed to the hospital when he was scheduled to take the stand.

He appeared to suggest that the former deputy president got cold feet and failed to appear, citing illness as the reason.

“We had an opportunity to forgive Rigathi if he came to the Senate. But he became scared and failed to show up. Now he doesn’t want the country to move forward,” Khalwale claimed.

He called out Gachagua for turning to the courts to block Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki from being sworn in as his replacement.

He argued that the courts would not save Gachagua from being removed from office, stating that the Senate was his only hope.

The Kakamega senator asserted that Gachagua’s fate was already sealed, and nothing could be done to reverse it.

“Gachagua listen to this. The court is going to ask you what you really want. However, they saw in broad daylight that you were no where to be found when you got called to testify, “Khalwale said.
