“To check Home fibre offer, kindly dial *400# and then select option seven (7) to check your offers,” said Safaricom.

A spot check of the process showed that subscribers should select a region, which includes Nairobi Metropolitan, Mountain, Rift, Coast and the Greater Western.

After selecting the region, the customer must check the territory, estate of residence, and the day for the connection.

Safaricom internet changes

In September 2024, the company announced increased internet speeds for both home and business customers to address the rising demand for faster connectivity in Kenya.

The changes introduced a new platinum package that offers speeds of up to 1000 Mbps for KSh 20,000.

Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa emphasised that the new speeds will support demanding online tasks such as 4K/8K streaming, gaming, large file transfers, cloud computing, and virtual reality.
