Fresh Blow to DP Gachagua as Senate’s Speaker Kingi Issues the Following Unfriendly Ruling

Latest reports indicates that the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has suffered a significant blow hours over his move to stop hearing of his Impeachment motion in the senate.

As reported, Senate’s speaker Amason Kingi has ruled that the national assembly cannot be injucted and court orders doesn’t stop hearing of an already motion in the senate.

“Senate Speaker rules that Parliament cannot be injuncted & that preliminary objection on court orders does not stop hearing already in the Senate. 

DP Rigathi Gachagua is in court seeking to stop the Senate from proceeding with his impeachment trial.”, report reveals.

This comes as the second in command is seeking orders to stop the proceedings which are expected to commence on Wednesday.

It should be noted that the three judges bench has already been formed as announced by chief justice Martha Koome.

on the other side, Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s chief Raila Odinga has received critisisms for backing the controversial deal between Adani group and JKIA.

speaking yesterday, Mr Odinga Surprised many after backing the deal despite protests from kenyans over the same.

The deal was secretly orchestrated by top officials in the government without public participation and as a result, petitions were filed to stop the agreement. High court is expected in the coming days to rule on the same.
