Pastor Mackenzie’s Church Followers Flood In Court, Shout At The Judges As Wife Finally Get Released

There was drama at Shanzu Law Courts today in the morning when followers of The Good News Church stormed the Court for the mention of a case attached to Pastor Paul Mackenzie’s wife, Rhoda Wambua. The controversial pastor’s wife was arrested one month ago for allegedly supporting cult-like religious practices in their Church located in Shakahola, Kilifi County. More than two hundred and fifty bodies of church followers have already been exhumed from shallow graves in Shakahola Forest.

According to a live video obtained from the Court scene today and shared by Citizen TV Kenya, large numbers of followers were seen attending the court scene, with a few of them heard shouting in happiness when the accused, the pastor’s wife, was released from custody after staying in jail for one month. Mrs. Mackenzie was released on bond for KSh. 100,000 cash.

In the case, Rhoda Wambua was found not guilty of directly participating in the killing of the church members and hence given the light condition of visiting the Shanzu Court once a month. Her husband, Pastor Mackenzie, is still in jail awaiting judgment on his case involving exposing followers to extreme starvation and intentional killing.
