A netizen has raised concern through facebook after noticing the following instruction written on the sides of kensalt.
According to the post he has questioned the instructions written ‘For Kenyan market only’ and raised concern if there may be any ingredients meant for consumption of particularly Kenyans.
“Kindly post this, out of curiosity. Why is it meant for Kenyans only? Is there a special ingredient meant for Kenyans? Most will recommend sea salt, but what about those who can’t afford it?” He noted. In response, some sections of Kenyans noted that the instruction is for tax purposes and also not meant to be exported. Below are some of the reactions sampled.
Amoh Amoh: Due to taxation subsidy.
Misha Afrodiva: In another meaning it is not for export outside the country.
Evangelist Finney Omido: It’s for KRA, you are not allowed to sell it outside the Kenyan market, because the same sells in Uganda or TZ.
