Dedan Kimathi Remains To Be Exhumed

I/CPresident of kenya, Dr. William Ruto has said that the remains of veteran freedom fighter, Dedan Kimathi, will be exhumed, unchained and given a befitting burrial.

While speaking to mourners at the burrial service of Mukami Kimathi, wife to the late Dedan Kimathi, Ruto has stated categorically that the exercise is set to be conducted between the maumau veterans who say that they know where he is burried “Mzee ameongea kwa kirefu na amesema ya kwamba tunataka mwili wa Kimathi mahali ulizikwa. Kwa sababu ilizikwa kwa njia ya aibu kubwa akiwa amefungwa minyororo na akiwa amefungwa kama mhalifu. Huyo kimathi hakukua mhalifu, alikua ni shujaa mwenye kupigania uhuru wa nchi yetu ya kenya. Na mimi nakubaliana na nyinyi. Na sio nyinyi peke yenu mtaenda kutafuta mahali huyo mungwana, shujaa wetu alizikwa, serikali ya kenya itaungana na nyinyi tutafute mahali huyo shujaa alizikwa na hio aibu, tumtoe pale ili tumpatoe heshima inayotoshana na shujaa ambaye alipigania uhuru wa taifa letu la kenya” Says William Ruto.

He has therefore given a public commitment on behalf of the government to work with the heros in finding the remains “And therefore I am giving you a commitment on behalf of the government of kenya that the government of kenya will work with you and all those who have the history of where this great hero, our independence hero, the men who paid tge altimeter price for us to be a free nation, that we will find him and give him a descent, befitting, national send off. Kwa hivyo tutaungana pamoja na nyinyi” William Ruto Adds. The government is set to conduct a national burrial ceremony after they have identified where he was burried because its beleaved that his body is in the vicinity of the maximum prisons.
