The Sacred Heart Mukumu Girls High School has been the center of controversy for the past few weeks after several students lost their lives.

The Cabinet Secretary of Education Ezekiel Machogu ordered that the cereals at the school be destroyed to ensure that such an occurrence does not happen again.
The cereals have not yet been destroyed however as per the reports that we have with us from the scene at the famous school in Kakamega County.
This evening, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the Kakamega County Senator Boniface Khalwale, he has revealed the events that transpired earlier today.

The Kakamega County Senator has revealed that the Regional Commissioner who is known as Irungu refused to destroy the cereals at the institution.
This comes after a court order was issued for the destruction of the cereals at the institution but the Regional Commissioner refused to undertake this order allegedly.
Regional Commissioner Irungu is said to have escaped lynching by the irate Sacred Heart Mukumu Girls High School parents.

Police had to lob teargas to disperse the patents and this occasioned several injuries to people especially the patents of the students of the Sacred Heart Mukumu Girls High School.
The people that were injured include one of the aides of Kakamega County Senator Boniface Khalwale as per the reports that we have with us.
Senator Boniface Khalwale was at the meeting that was held earlier on today ahead of the reopening next week.
