His name is Peter Magana Kenyatta. He is a little known son of the late Kenya’s first president, Jomo Kenyatta and third eldest brother to Kenya’s fourth president, Uhuru Kenyatta. He used to work as a reporter and producer at BBC but now he is a retiree.
Peter was born as the only child to Homo Kenyatta’s British second wife who was called Edna Grace Clarke. Jomo met Edna when he was working at a nursery in United Kingdom. The two got married in 1942 but Jomo didn’t inform her that he had another family back in Kenya. In 1943, they were blessed with Peter Magana. After three years, Kenyatta left them in UK and came back to Kenya.
Peter was last seen in Kenya during his father’s memorial service in 1979 and since then he has never again showed up in family gatherings events. His mother died in 1995 and currently, he lives in UK with his wife and three children.
