Reprieve to Mukumu Girls High School and Butere Boys High school as government released millions of money to them following the current situation in those schools. According to the report shared earlier by the local media Mukumu and Butere schools were closed indefinitely following the outbreak of diseases within the institutions. Mukumu Girls High School students were sent home after the outbreak that left several students hospitalised. On Saturday 15th April 2023 Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu in his tour at Mukumu Girls and Butere schools said that the government has come up with various measures to curb the spread of diseases in schools and the country at large. A report that has impressed many people across the country.
While at Mukumu High school, Machogu revealed that the government will release kshs 5 million for the procurement of fresh food and possible repairs at Mukumu High school, and kshs 20 million to Butere Boys High school.
