Arsenal have a poor record against defending champions Manchester City when it comes to Premier League games. The last time Arsenal won against the Premier League giants at Etihad Stadium in an English Premier League game was in the 2014/2015 season in a 2-0 win. Since then, the gunners have had a poor footballing performance against Man City.
This season might be different if Man City play against Arsenal’s super squad that has not tasted any losses since the beginning of the season. The fixture is barely three weeks from now (11 April 2023) and all the Arsenal’s players in the super squad are reportedly in good shape.
Gabriel Jesus, who has been missing in action for around three months, returned in good shape and scored three goals since his superb comeback. Jesus was forced to undergo knee surgery following a tear in his meniscus which was sustained during Brazil’s clash against Cameroon.
Another three main men for Arsenal have been Saka, Martinelli and Martin Odegaard. The three have been solid in their performance and are likely to cause problems for Pep Guardiola’s side.
With Thomas Partey and Xhaka in the starting line-up, Arsenal’s midfield may be as strong as ever. The advantage is on Arsenal’s side since they will only have one match per week for the rest of season. Man City, on the other hand, have to play in both the UEFA champions league and FA cup. Arsenal will play the cityzens on 26th of April.
