Citizen TV’s political editor Francis Gachuri has landed a top job in the ministry of Interior as the head of Communication forcing him to quit his onscreen duties at the Royal Media Services (RMS).
According to the report, Gachuri on March 1, received an appointment as the Head of Communication in the Ministry of Interior headed by Professor Kithure Kindiki. Gachuri who works at various stations at Royal Media Services will now quit as he will be concentrating in helping the government in service delivery.
“Yes it’s true,” one of the sources who sought anonymity affirmed.
Gachuri has been one of the News Gang panelists in the Citizen Tv program where the ground discusses various political matters where each individual gives personal opinion on the politics of the country.
The senior editor in his new role will now be responsible for creating, delivering and evaluating effective communication activities to help the ministry move in the right direction.
