Veteran journalist who is renown for his work in the Kikuyu media industry Njogu Wa Njoroge has landed himself a new role in the William Ruto government.
John Njogu Wa Njoroge is now the new chairman of the Kenya Film classification board and will serve in the role for the next three years. He was appointed by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba alongside John Muigai Nyururu, Hariety Namwezi Zitah, Stephanie Kamene Maseki, Kipruto Kiptoo, John Osimbo, Grace Mwendwa Munjuri, and Raphael Ekadeli Loperito.
The media personality was a vocal supporter of President William Ruto’s UDA party in the last general election.
He even claims that it was his support to the then Vice President that cost him his well paying job at Kameme FM last year. Njogu even attempted to run for MP under the UDA party but lost out on the party primaries to incumbent Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi.
News of his appointment will come as a relief for Njogu who has endured a lot of negativity in his personal and work related life in the past year.
After losing his job in January last year, Njogu’s personal life came into the fore front after nude photos of his second wife Mary Lincoln emerged online. The worst thing about the scandal was that the photos were not from his phone nor that of his wife!
