Criminals have been threatening the residents of North Rift and taking their livestock for more than 10 years. The government deployed KDF officers to the county to flush out the bandits. A section of leaders have created ruckus on the government’s choice of deploying the troops to the region charging that it is placing the area residents into much risk.
According to the report shared by Daily Nation, there is alot of disagreement on sharing the water and grazing field at Elemi Triangle in the Northern parts of the country and as there’s no arbitration for them, they choose to use guns to settle the disputes.
Yesterday, a video of some people being sprayed with bullets trended online. Some section Kenyans were so quick to judge and concluded that the action happened in Pokot with KDF spraying the bullets.
However, several other Kenyans have come to clarify the situation. They say that this is a past video of what happened in Yemen between a militia in there and the USA military. So this means that those who were saying that it happened in Pokot were wrong.
