Only Teachers Who Got This Grade in KCSE Will be Allowed to Teach In JSS, TSC Declares

Teachers Service Commission has today announced that not all teachers will be allowed to teach at Junior Secondary schools under the imminent Competency Based Curriculum.

Addressing via a press statement released today the 28th of January 2023, the Teachers Service Commission has announced that only teachers who got a mean Grade of C+ and above in their respective Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education national examinations will be allowed to teach in Junior Secondary schools.

The Teachers Service Commission has announced that the window for interested teachers to file applications for deployment in Junior Secondary Schools will draw to a close on the 6th of February 2023.

The Teachers Service Commission has further announced that only teachers under the imminent Permanent and Pensionable terms of service in public primary schools strategically placed within the Kenyan borders will be allowed to teach in Junior Secondary schools.

Giving a glimpse of the institutionalized procedure to follow in the journey of filing application for deployment in Junior Secondary schools, the Teachers Service Commission has directed all willing teachers to visit its official website, which is, tsc.go.ke.
