Working very hard in their studies with the wishes and expectations of landing a very good job is the dream of many school-going children. It is through this education that the son of the peasants becomes a doctor and the daughter of a herder becomes a pilot. However accessing this education in Kenya has not been an easy task, especially for those who come from humble backgrounds.
Taking to a letter going viral on various social media platforms, a young girl from Kericho county sought assistance from CS Labour and Social Protection Florence Bore to help her join form 1 owing to the poor state of their family. In the writing, the stressed girl narrated how she was forced to repeat class 8 and allowed her elderly brother to proceed due to a lack of fees. She ended up repeating in class 8 as she prayed that God opens a financial breakthrough that will see her getting admitted to a secondary school after performing exemplary.
After the letter was widely shared online, CS Bore heard her plight and has come to her rescue. According to a reliable source, Bore’s team has paid a visit to the girl’s home in Tebesonik ward, Kapkisiara location, Bureti constituency, Kericho county. As the girl requested, CS Bore has agreed to fully pay for her 4 years of school fees, do shopping for her, provide upkeep, and admit her at Tengecha Girl’s where she was selected for.
Again, CS Bore is said to be in close talks with the girl’s family.
