Lesedi Developers Managing Director Geoffrey Kiragu held a meeting with top Kikuyu celebrities he used to market his after a local daily accused him of defrauding investors. Taking to his Facebook account, Kiragu said the meeting was successful.
He also met a group of disgruntled investors from Thika who had stormed his office demanding to get their money back after he failed to give them titles. Kiragu said he explained to the investors why the titles had been delayed and owned the mistake.
They agreed on clear timelines to deliver their title deeds. He said he was happy to meet them and as they left the meeting, they shook hands.
Kiragu said he intends to meet all Lesedi investors in the course of the week to clear the misunderstandings. The MD has been trending after Daily Nation alleged that he had conned investors Ksh 1 Billion.
The Nation reported that some investors who demanded their money back were issued with bouncing cheques. He has since denied the claims and sued the paper after the story went viral.
