The first phase of the construction of Siaya International stadium will be complete in the first quater of 2023.
From the reliable sources governor of Siaya seniour counsel James Orengo said that the stadium will be handed over to the netizens of Siaya in March next year.
“The roof of the stadium is being fabricated and the major civil works are nearly completed. Field works already done and awaiting compaction so as to host any international match,” James Orengo said.
The county boss of Siaya further added that the stadium is an important investment that will help in the growth of talents of children.
Orengo said he will bring more projects that will be useful to the youths of Siaya.
This stadium is estimated to have a capacity of 20000 which will make it to be among the biggest stadiums in Kenya. It has special facilities like dressing rooms, running track and even swimming pool.
The cost of its construction stands at around 406 million.
