Eunice, a woman from Nairobi County who was born without legs, tells her caretaker that her partner had an extramarital affair.

After Eunice’s father passed away, Eunice’s mother decided to leave her in the care of her grandparents due to her unstable financial situation. She then enrolled in elementary school, and according to her, it wasn’t until sixth grade that she realised she was different from the other kids.

She saw that she was unable to engage in several of her classmates’ pastimes, such as running. She states that she was really offended when a student asked her why she didn’t have legs. She called her grandparents when she got home, crying, and they told her that she was very fortunate.

Despite her feelings of inadequacy, life went on, and she requested a transfer to a school with pupils who shared her disabilities. She struggled to find work after graduating from college because of her sickness.

Later, because her grandparents were becoming older and she felt like a burden to them, she moved back home with her brother. One of the family members offered to help her because her brother was at work. She eventually started dating a man, fell in love with him, and they spent a lot of time together before the terrible happened.

One day, she came home to find him on the couch with her caregiver, embracing. They pretended not to be doing anything after seeing her since they were shocked. Since I loved him so much, according to Eunice, it was the most terrible experience of her life. The boyfriend abruptly left, and when she tried to get in touch with him, he told her to delete all of his photographs and never call him again. 

She claims that the caregiver apologised because she was ashamed. She did, however, finally forgive her. She claims that as a result of her disability, finding a job has been harder for her. She begs well-wishers to help her start a cosmetics since she is passionate about it and to move into her home because her brother is getting married soon and she doesn’t want to be a burden on him.
