Racism in Kenya: Another top city restaurant accused of racism towards a female customer.

Just days after a top bar, Alchemist, was accused of racial treatment another city restaurant is in the lime light for engaging in a racial activity.

A female Netizen by the name Nelly Gladly, took to social media to express her disappointment after she alleged that she passed through a racial treatment from a restaurant known as Kilimanjaro that is situated within Nairobi.

Nelly alleged that she was forcefully ejected from her seat by a waiter within the restaurant after which the seat was issued to a person with an Arabic origin.

She said that the seat was situated close to the restaurant’s balcony which brought in a cool breeze and a good view of the downtown.

In response to Nelly’s accusation, Kilimanjaro restaurant management claimed that the seat was preserved for the Arabic customer who had earlier booked for the seat a day before and that the seat had a ‘Reserved’ tag on it.

Nelly has downplayed the management’s response, she said that all the seats in the restaurant had the ‘reserved’ tag on them such that she could not identify any seat that was empty.

Kilimanjaro restaurant has now requested forgiveness from Nelly and has offered her a free meal of her choice anytime she wants in the restaurant.

What’s your take about racism in Kenya and in African soil in general?. Are we colonising ourselves again?.
