The ODM leader Hon Raila Odinga has been experiencing a rough time selling his manifestos in the Mt. Kenya despite partnering with the incumbent Head of State President Uhuru Kenyatta as the region is considered a pro-Ruto stronghold.
Despite being accompanied by the vocal regional leaders in the Azimio camp Senior Counsel Martha Karua, Kirinyaga Women Rep Martha Karua and Kieni Mp Kanini Kega, Baba’s reception in the region has been tainted after a section of UDA fanatics decided to heckle him with Pro-Ruto chants renting the air.
Today, while in Kiambu County, the Azimio leader suffered a big embarrassment as some vocal Kenyans heckled him while chanting UDA and Ruto’s name as he tried to sell his manifestos to the people who had gathered to listen to his speech. This happened just a day after Baba experienced the same fate in Kirinyaga County where Martha Karua was badly heckled with her speech interrupted by UDA loyalists.
However, as the nation dives into a period of high octane politics, Kenyans have been advised to exercise tolerance and allow allow all politicians from different sides of the political divide to sell their manifesto.
