There was tension and fear along Karen road after one of the latest electric buses in the country burst into flames while on transit. The electric bus belonging to the BasiGo group was on its daily routines when the incident occurred.
From a video shared online, huge flames of fire can be seen emitting from the bus. The fire is too much for motorists and pedestrians to put off without the help of the county fire team.
Judging from the video, the bus has already suffered irreparable damage as the flames are too huge and spreading quickly.
By the time of publishing this article, it was not yet revealed whether there were passengers aboard the bus or if there were any injuries reported.
BasiGo which was recently launched in the PSV market was majorly to encourage environmentally friendly transport in the country. The buses are designed to carry upto 25 passengers and has a 250km range before being charged.
