Many Kenyans have been left heartbroken after news that Sammy Boy, the Kikuyu gospel artist behind the hit song ‘Noira Tu’ featuring Sammy K is currently serving a life sentence at Naivasha Maximum prison for allegedly carrying out robbery with violence.
A short video of him being interview by Inooro TV’s Njeraini Citu show host Simon Kibe was shared by Bishop Muturi Maina on Facebook.
“Gospel Musician Sammy Boy is serving a life sentence at Naivasha Maximum prison for allegedly being involved in robbery with violence.” Bishop Muturi captioned the one minute long video.
Philanthropist Baruthi wa Thayu also shared the video where many Kenyans on the comments sections expressed doubts that Sammy Boy who upheld christian values was really involved in criminal activities.
It remains unclear how long he has been in jail, whether he is innocent or guilty but we will keep you updated after the full episode is aired on Inooro TV on Sunday at 10PM.
Sammy Boy’s Facebook account has been inactive since November 2021.
