Martha Karua has officially ended weeks of speculations over which side she will support after she announced her support for Azimio la Umoja.
“From Now onwards, NARC Kenya and I are supporting Azimio presidential candidate, the right honorable Raila Odinga.” She said.
The former cabinet minister wasn’t present when Azimio movement joined hands with OKA. Her fellow OKA principals Gideon Moi and Kalonzo Musyoka were present but she distanced herself from the event.
Raila Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja flagbearer has praised her decision. Speaking the former prime minister has given a reason why Karua couldn’t join Kenya Kwanza which is under DP Ruto.
“I feel very proud to receive Martha here. I don’t think she had any other choice, because the difference between this side and the other side is like day and night, black or white.” Said Raila Odinga.
Martha Karua aka the irony lady is a boost to the Azimio coalition since she can bring some votes from the mountain into the coalition.
