Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) sent out an important circular concerning marking of KCSE exam this year.
According to the circular, KNEC examiners will be required to apply for marking of this year’s KCSE exam on https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke using their phone number (starting with 254) as username and a unique password. However, the application will be open from 14th March 2022.
In case a teacher does not remember his/her password, then they can easily reset to receive a new password.
This year, a total of 831,015 students will sit for their KCSE exam in 10,413 centers across the country, compared to the 752,981 students in 10,437 centers in who sat the exam in 2020.

According to the timetable, the exam will officially start on Monday 14th March 2022 and end on Friday 1st April 2022.

Elsewhere, about 1,225,507 standard eight candidates have completed their KCPE exams today without a hitch. ‘Marking is now underway and candidates expect to get their results in two weeks,’ said Education CS George Magoha.
