Popular Kenyan gengetone artist Major Nemeye Khadija, popularly known to his die-hard fans as Mejja was the subject of controversy in the Kenyan grapevines today after allegations of him reconciling with his ex-wife emerged.
Mejja separated from his wife in 2018 after she allegedly packed her bags and left him. The two had been together for close to five years before their separation.
In a television interview with presenter Tony Mwirigi, Mejja was asked whether it is true that he was in the process of mending broken bridges with his ex-wife. He was quick to deny it, making it clear that he cannot go back to the past.
“Don’t wake up the past. Hizo ni mashetani,” Mejja said.
