Octopizzo has delivered his third single this year, two months after he released the Benga-infused ‘Zikishika’ which is almost hitting 1 million views on YouTube.
The rapper’s new gift to his loyal fans is titled ‘Stay’, a totally different project from what we have come to expect from him. In ‘Stay’, the Kibera rapper channels his softer side, allowing himself to be vulnerable in love as he begs his girl to stay.
‘Stay’ is the fourth single off Octo’s forthcoming 5th studio album after ‘Oliel’, ‘Babylon’, and ‘Zikishika’. It is produced by Florida-based multi-platinum music producer Cxdy and sound engineered by Octo’s go-to recording engineer Jon Rook.
Listeners of the late American rapper XXXTentacion will notice a striking similarity between Octo’s ‘Stay’ and X’s ‘Everybody Dies in their Nightmares’. This is because both tracks feature a sample by singer Shiloh Dynasty, who featured in XXX’s album ‘17′.
Octo and his production team have done justice to the sample, to say the least. Fans are loving it and we do too.
