Gospel music crooner Owen Mwatia alias Daddy Owen is well on his way to becoming a father.
The ‘Vanity’ hitmaker and his wife, Farida Wambui, are expecting their first child – two years after they exchanged their vows. The couple, who have been keeping the news from the public, last weekend celebrated the expected arrival of their bundle of joy in a colourful baby shower.
The private garden baby shower was graced by the couple’s family and close friends.
The event was catered by renowned Kenyan chef, Jasmine Macharia, who congratulated the couple on social media.
“Hearty congratulations to Daddy Owen and his beautiful wife Farida as they wait on their bundle of joy. We are so glad you enjoyed all the bitings!”
Daddy Owen and Farida, who said their “I Dos” at the Kenya Assemblies of God in Buru Buru, Nairobi on April 2, 2016, are yet to make an announcement.
