Chance the Rapper and his wife Kirsten Corley have split up after five years of marriage.
The 30-year-old hip-hop star tied the knot with influencer Kirsten, 30, in 2019 but the pair revealed that they have “amicably” decided to end their marriage.
The former couple – who share two children – said in a joint Instagram statement: “After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways.
“We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.
“God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together.
“We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you. Chance Kirsten.”
Chance and Kristen have daughters Kensli, seven, and Marli, four, together and have known each other since they were children.
They first started dating in 2013 and welcomed Kensli two years later.
They split briefly in 2016 but soon reconciled and he proposed in 2018 and tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed Marli a few months later.
Chance previously spoke about his relationship with Kirsten and how grateful he was to be raising children with her.
He told PEOPLE: “I’ve been waking up daily with a newfound gratitude and being very grateful that I’m married right now. The fact that me, my daughters and my wife all live in one house together is a huge, huge blessing, so I’ve just been taking that in.”
