Crocs teams up with DC Comics to create a surprisingly cool-looking version of its ubiquitous Classic Clogs inspired by arguably the best Batmobile ever designed.
The Croc brand has always been associated with comfort, but rarely with style. Nevertheless, the company has always come up with ways of surprising its faithful fans, teaming up with various other brands for intriguing collaborations. Its latest such venture resulted in the recently-released Batman x Crocs Classic Clog “Batmobile”, a limited-edition version of its Classic Clogs inspired by the design of the Batmobile featured in the 1989 Batman movie and its sequel, Batman Returns.
Apart from the jet-black color they come in, the new Crocs feature a variety of Batmobile elements, such as the front turbine, a pair of discrete yellow headlights, and even a glossy windshield. At the back, we have red stoplights, rear wheels, and the Batmobile’s iconic exhaust. But perhaps the coolest element of all is the bat wing lateral spoiler on the heel strap.
Although some would say that going for Batmobile Crocs instead of Killer Crocs is a wasted opportunity, this isn’t the footwear brand’s first collaboration with DC Comics, so who, knows, maybe they are saving the best for last.
Batman x Crocs Classic Clog “Batmobile” are currently available at select online retailers for $70 a pair. Sadly, the limited-edition footwear is yet to be released in the US.
