It may be an obvious note, but: This is the first in-person Google I/O since before the pandemic. The tech press loves to complain either way—we didn’t love the virtual events, and on the flipside, a bunch of us had to hop in planes, trains, and automobiles to get down to Mountain View today. And yet, I think I can say with certainty that IRL is better. Reunited and it feels so good!
